Thoughts

In receiving what could best be considered an “embarrassing” grade during the grande 2011 IBC blog review, I have to take it like a man.  Frankly, I think the material I have to provide here is more worthy than “F-“, so I obviously have to make significant changes and improvements.

I’m not going to sit here and bang out daily market wraps with charts, moving averages, commentary, etc.  There are a ton of places to go for that sort of thing anyway.  Basically, I need help presenting the information I have in a more efficient and interesting manner.  I really do think that knowing what industries are performing best/worst/whatever RIGHT NOW (the basic premise of what I’m trying to do here) is pertinent information to anyone trying to gain an edge in the market.  Feel free to comment with suggestions.  Thanks.

    nice comeback,

I have been looking at the top 5 non leveraged ETF gainers and losers every day for a few years
    definitely insightful

I guess what you might want to present on your blog here would be a more condensed form of the current data as well as a paragraph conclusion as to your interpretation each day

    ..just my opinion

First of all, it’s only one opinion. It is the Fly’s opinion and with his experiences you have to respect it but don’t base the life of an entire blog based upon one opinion.

I agree w/ Dig in that maybe a more condensed version may help. Right now it seems like a long list which isn’t easy to pull the information from. A conclusion paragraph would be helpful to pull it all together. Right now it’s simply a list of information. Put together a summary of how you use this on a daily/weekly basis or however you use it so that the reader knows (or at least has a starting point on) how to use the information you provide.

      Thanks for the feedback.

I kind of expected to be ripped apart, but I have thick skin and don’t take it personally. I take it as a sign that I really need to step my game up if I want to be taken seriously. Again, I think that the information I am compiling here can be of use to traders. What I need to figure out now is how to best distill that raw data and present it in a concise and logical fashion that people can understand and use.

Additionally, after being in college FOREVER (graduating this Saturday with a BS in Civil Engineering), I have reached a point where I can take pride in my writing ability, so I am encouraged by both your and digs’ request for a narrative summary. I hope that you both keep in touch and see what’s up. Thanks again for the feedback.
